In 1943 she was owned by US Wartime Shipping Administration on bare-boat charter to the Ministry of War Transport, London UK (Watts, Watts & Co. Ltd., mgrs.). In 1948 she was registered at USA and she was owned by the United States Department of Commerce US Maritime Commission in reserve lay-up. In 1955 she was laid up, with her surveys overdue.

Anecdotes
The Heritagegateway.org.uk stated "Lend-Lease - The 'lease-lend' terms under most of these were transferred meant that 'the owner supplied the ship, but the charterer [supplied and equipped] the vessel with all fuel, chandlery, hardware . . . and other expendable supplies. When the ship [was] returned to the owner, a reverse adjustment [was] made for fuel and supplies which remain[ed] on board." In 1959 this vessel was broken up at Beaumont, TX USA
