Anecdotes
Jasper Cweed (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 19/10/2018) stated that "This vessel was a real good sea boat. I bought her hanging on her lines in French Creek many yrs ago and completely rebuilt it ... 40 ribs 16 planks … new interior … and a Perkins 6354 engine. Unfortunately the gentleman I sold the boat to, hit the beach again and now it sits in Nepah Lagoon with the tide rolling in and out of her for many years … Sigh. I had no plans on selling it. I was working up coast in camp and had the boat … a fellow came in … he had spotted the boat and was wondering if it was for sale. He fished prawns for a few yrs with it. I had changed the name to Rainy Bay." On August 11, 1986 this vessel grounded near the Sand Heads Light in the mouth of the Fraser River BC Canada.
