| This vessel is said to have been stranded on the beach at Clo-oose while trying to enter across the Nitinat Bar. Captain George A. MacFarlane tried unsuccessfully to pull her off the beach with the Princess Maquinna standing by to render assistance. Captain Fred MacFarlane in the Snohomish pulled her free a few days later. In 1986 at the end of her life this vessel sank in the Pitt River and her hulk was pulled ashore on Shelter Island and burned near the Canada Lafarge Cement plant. |
