| In 1941 this vessel was seized by the Custodian of Enemy Property (Frank Shears), Ottawa ON Canada. In 1942 her ownership was transferred to His Majesty the King (Japanese Fishboat Disposal Committee). The RCN employed her as a harbour craft at Esquimalt BC Canada. This vessel was laid up at Bedwell Bay in Indian Arm BC after the Second World War. Robert Critchley (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 13/11/2017) reports that "In April 1941 this vessel chartered to Good Hope Cannery for the sockeye , then going to Goose Bay cannery for the fall time." On June 19, 1982 this vessel struck bottom and sank and was declared at total loss while in Inner Passages at Burke Channel BC Canada. |
