Anecdotes
On February 17, 1948 this passenger vessel was stranded in Douglas Bay, Gambier Island BC Canada. After they ran aground, Douglas Cook, the one-man crew walked through deep snow to summon help for his passengers. This vessel had her bottom ripped open while the operator attempted to land a passenger at his cabin. The passengers were able to step ashore.
