In 1949-1978 she was owned by Minister of Lands & Forests, Victoria BC Canada. In 1978 she was sold to Pryce Management Limited, Vancouver BC Canada. In 1980 she was owned by Blair Pearl, Tilicum Marina in an unofficial deal. He traded it to John Hutchinson. In 2012-2014 she was owned by Peter Harvey. In 2014-2017 she was owned by James Gordon.

Nick Newell (Email to Nauticapedia 06/01/2024) states "The Alder II is a 34-foot semi-restored 1949 ex-Forest Service Patrol Boat – a wooden assistant ranger crew boat. This vessel patrolled the BC coast for many years in the days before aircraft. This vessel was one of the Second series Blimp design."
