Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for Pilot Training Course. He served in USNAS Grosse Isle for Flight Training. He served in USNAS Pensacola for Flight Training. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 06/01/1944). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR 08/01/1945. He served in H.M.S. Formidable for 1842 RN Squadron 1945.

Anecdotes
He was mentioned in despatches for his part in the air raid on the German battleship Tirpitz. He was killed in a flying accident when his wings folded on take-off from H.M.S. Formidable 30/07/1945 when his plane took part in CAP during attack on Japanese mainland, crashed into sea near HMS Formidable.
