Anecdotes
In 1910 this vessel was completed at Belfast NI UK. The Cheslakee capsized on January 17, 1913 at the wharf at Vananda BC with the loss of 7 passengers and crew. The incident didn't surprise many on the waterfront as this vessel was considered top heavy. This vessel lay on the bottom with only her mast and funnel showing above the water. this vessel was salvaged, rebuilt and renamed as a much more stable craft serving another 33 years on the B.C. coast.
