Anecdotes |
---|
In 1923-1924 this vessel made one three-month rum running trip to California. (Miles, Fraser (1992)). On January 26, 1925 this schooner was lost near Bella Bella BC near the entrance to Millbank Sound BC during a snowstorm. This vessel was carrying a cargo of explosives bound for Skagway. The insurance companies refused payment claiming that this vessel was over-laden. They sued and won a judgement in BC Supreme Court. Her crew of four, including Captain J.M. Partington was lost in the incident. Captain Partington left a message in a bottle, which was later found, which stated "We are wrecked in Millbank Sound"." |
