This vessel was built of teak. In 1838 this vesselmade a supply voyage to the West Coast of North America. In 1841 this vesselmade a supply voyage to the West Coast. In 1844 this vesselmade a supply voyage to the West Coast. In 1847 this vesselmade a supply voyage to the West Coast. On May 8, 1848 this vessel was wrecked on the middle sands of the Columbia River Bar, without loss of life. The vessel had anchored in the mouth of the river but this vesselstranded in high winds. The crew reached the Fort safely. The vessel was owned by the Hudson's Bay Company, and was loaded with agricultural machinery and general stores for the post at Fort Vancouver. |
