In 1948 this vessel was a sailing vessel. This vessel is reported to have been rebuilt at Harbour Boatyards Ltd., Vancouver BC. In 1948 Captain Cyril James Eldridge House purchased the vessel in a sheriff's sale for $1,500. He sold it for $20,000. The engine came from the vessel Diesel. this vessel was involved in fishpacking, towing and carrying boom chains for log towing. Bob Koskela (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 12/10/2014) reported "I remember it packing for Tulloch, saw it around the spawning grounds gettin' seine fish in the evenings. They would deliver every nite most boats packed no ice in those days." |
