In 1944 she was owned by the Royal Canadian Navy. In 1944 she was commissioned as H.M.C.S. St. Stephen. In 1944 she was assigned to Escort Group C-5. In 1945 she was paid off. In 1947 she was converted to weather ship service on Labrador-Greenland station. In 1950 she was transferred to Esquimalt and paid off. In 1950 she was loaned to the Department of Transport for weather ship service as CGS St. Stephen. In 1958 she was transferred to DOT as spare for weather ship service. In 1968 she was sold.
