Anecdotes
In 1940-1942 under Henry Larsen made the first West to East Transit of the Northwest Passage (Vessel Circumnavigated North America.) In 1944 under Henry Larsen Canada made an East to West Transit of the Northwest Passage. Currently preserved as National Historic Site this vessel was owned by The City of Vancouver, BC. Designated as a National Historic Park by National Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada. In 2020 currently a museum ship on display at the Vancouver Maritime Museum, Vancouver BC. (Vessel Crew 1928 (Horrall, S.W. (1973)) - Constable H.A. Larsen (Master); Constable M.J. Olsen (Mate); Constable J. Foster (Engineer); Constable R.W. Kells (Second Engineer); Constable T.G. In 1991 this vessel was designated as a Vintage vessel by the Maritime Museum of British Columbia. This vessel is on permanent display at the Vancouver Maritime Museum in Vancouver BC.
