Anecdotes
On October 17, 1965 this tug owned by Texada Towing Co. Ltd., Vancouver BC sank after this vesseloverturned in Tahsis Channel. The master James Andrews, swam to a log boom, while the Mate, Robert Notley, drowned in the incident impeded by his heavy boots and cloths. The tug was later salvaged. They were towing about one million board feet of wood when a tide rip caused them to capsize about 6:30pm. Andrews was rescued about two hours later.
