Anecdotes |

Gary Fach (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 08/06/2020) stated "My dad bought the Nanaimo Chief with the aim of converting it into a yacht. The salon structure was added in the shipyard, but the rest of the work was done by my myself, mom, dad, and two younger brothers. It was renamed The Donalee, after my mother, Donna Rosalee." In 1995 this vessel was burned and declared a total constructive loss at Ladysmith BC while under refit. |
