In 1911 as a dredge tender she was owned by the Department of Public Works, Ottawa ON. In 1918 she was transferred to the Imperial Munitions Board, Ottawa ON. In 1919 she was owned by The Minister of Public Works, Ottawa ON. In 1920-1957 she was owned by the Pacific Great Eastern Towing Co. Vancouver BC.

Anecdotes
On January 28, 1913 this tug was in collision with the Princess Charlotte outside Vancouver harbour. this CPR steamer hit the dredge Mastodon and the Point Ellice in dense fog. The steamer lost some paint but the tug and the dredge were reported to be quite battered. In 1920 this vessel was put on the Vancouver to Squamish barge service. In 1957 this vessel was rendered unnecessary by construction of the Second Narrows Bridge. In 1957 this vessel was sold to Capital Iron & Metals Ltd., Victoria BC for scrapping.
