In 1944-1946 this vessel was acquired by the Royal Canadian Navy. In 1944 this vessel was an A/S towing vessel based at Halifax NS. In 1970 this vessel became the standby pilot boat at Victoria BC. Colin Henthorn reports that "Pacific Pilot III has been derelict in Port Edward for a considerable time. The report this morning is that this vesselis in the hands of the federal government and on her way to be broken up." |
