Anecdotes
Gordon Lamont (Email to Nauticapedia 03/01/2023) stated that "The boat is currently (2023) at Shelter Island in Richmond BC for a refit that involves repainting, renewing the drive train (shaft, cutless bearing, propellor and rudder). Should be back in the water this spring. Boat hull was built by Independent Shipwrights in Coombs BC and is a 42 Seamaster Trawler. There are about 45 of those working the coast as fishboats - some all the way out to the tuna grounds. We are pretty sure that Ocean Romancer is the only one that ended up as a recreational boat. The boat was finished in Richmond BC by the original owner, James Golby."
