Anecdotes
In 1937 this vessel was registered in Syre, Greece. On August 8, 1937 this vesselwent ashore half a mile east of Cape Beale in dense fog inbound for Port Alberni from Kobe Japan under command of Captain John Katalinos to load lumber for the UK under charter to the Anglo-Canadian Shipping Co. The crew was rescued by the Salvage King. While the ship was breaking up, parts were salvaged by Capital Iron and Metals Ltd., Victoria BC.
