Anecdotes
On March 17, 1975 this seiner owned by R.A. Roberts Ltd., Vancouver BC capsized and sank in Barkley Sound while heavily loaded with herring. this vessel was salvaged and put back into service. On March 2, 1977, while under command of Captain Mel Assu, this herring seiner took on water below the waterline and capsized about one mile off Cape Beale BC and sank. Her crew of six were rescued by the Maple Leaf C. and taken to Ucluelet.
