Anecdotes
On December 20th, 1925 this passenger/freight vessel owned by Union Steamships Ltd., Vancouver BC sank in 50 fathoms of water after a collision in the fog with the Lady Cynthia at Roberts Creek. No lives were lost, 14 passengers and the crew of 21 on the Cowichan were quickly transferred to the Lady Cynthia. On October 3, 1950 this vessel collided with the A.L. Bryant halfway between Finnisterre Island and Whytecliff Point, Queen Charlotte Channel, Howe Sound BC. In 1957 this vessel was broken up in Seattle WA.
