Anecdotes
Her boilers built by Yarrow & Co. Ltd., Glasgow Scotland. this vessel was eventually dismantled for scrap at Gambier Island BC. In the 1920s this passenger vessel owned by Union Steamships Ltd., Vancouver BC, ran aground at the mouth of Chapman Creek. On December 24, 1940 this vesselran aground on Indian Island at Pender Harbour while turning around. On December 23, 1947 this vesselran onto a reef in Buccaneer Bay, Thormanby Island BC while northbound to Powell River BC. Repeated efforts to dislodge her failed. this vessel was eventually towed off and taken to Vancouver.
