In 1954 H.M.C.S. Labrador under command of Captain O. C. S. Robertson RCN this vesselmade an East to West Transit of the Northwest Pasage (the first warship to Transit and to Circumnavigate North America). In 1956 H.M.C.S. Labrador under the command of Captain T.C. Pullen RCN this vesselmade an East to West Transit of the North est passage. Under the command of Captain T. C. Pullen RCN in 1957 this vesselescorted the US Coast Guard Squadron through Bellot Strait and Eastern Arctic as a partial transit of the northwest Passage. this vessel was renamed as Labrador this vessel was owned by The Minister of Transport (Canadian Coast Guard), Ottawa ON. In 1989 this vessel was reported to have been broken up in the Far East. |
