Anecdotes
This vessel could have been either SC-1279 or SC-1282. “As reported in the September 1953 issue of Motor Boating magazine under Thomas Ayers, commodore of the Royal Vancouver Yacht club from 1948-1949, this vessel was winner of the first leg of the 920 mile 1953 motor boat log race from Poulso (Olympia) Washington State to Juneau Alaska. The first leg is know as the International Cruiser rate. In 1953 there were 122 entrants and Ayers won with the remarkable low score of 0.58% error, second best up to that time.”
