Anecdotes
Jacob Olson (Email to Nauticapedia 08/05/2024) stated "James Wold is my grandfather and Karl Wold was his father that had Jack-D.R. built by the Wahl Brothers. Attached is a photo of the boat in roughly 1986, 8 miles North of Toe Hill, Haida Gwaii. That is my grandfather, James Wold, in the photo." James Wold said that "other fisherman would often call the boat Dr. Jack".
