In 1942 she was sold to Malaspina Fisheries Ltd., Vancouver, BC. In 1942 she was purchased by the Royal Canadian Navy. In 1949 she was owned by Max Marx, Vancouver BC. In 1955-1960 she was owned by Glen I. Gadsden, Ocean Falls BC. In 1960-1970 she was owned by British Columbia Packers Ltd., Vancouver BC. In 1970-1982 she was owned by Peter Frandsen, Ocean Falls BC.

Anecdotes
In 1941 this vessel was seized from her Japanese owners by the Canadian Government. In 1942 her ownership transferred to His Majesty the King. The RCN employed her as a harbour craft at Esquimalt BC. this vessel was laid up at Bedwell Bay in Indian Arm BC after the Second World War. Robert Critchley (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 13/11/2017) reports that "In April 1941 this vesselchartered to Good Hope Cannery for the sockeye , then going to Goose Bay cannery for the fall time." On 1982-09-14 this vessel sank and was declared at total loss.
