In 1941-1942 she was owned by I. Matsumoto, Prince Rupert BC. In 1942 her ownership transferred to His Majesty the King. At the time her appraised value was $16,400. In 1942 she was purchased by the Royal Canadian Navy. In 1959 she was sold to Edward Lipsett Ltd. (for $1,500).

Anecdotes
In 1941 this vessel was seized from her Japanese owners by the Canadian Government. In 1942 her ownership transferred to His Majesty the King. This vessel served as the Admiral's Barge in Esquimalt BC. this vessel was transferred to HMCS Malahat as a tender until December 1952 when this vessel was transferred back to Esquimalt as the Admiral's Barge.
