She was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy as H.M.C.S. Hespeler and commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy 28/02/1944 to 15/11/1945. In 1946 she was owned by Union Steamships Ltd., Vancouver BC. In 1958 she was sold to Sun Line, Monrovia Liberia. She was refitted for St. Lawrence cruises as the Stella Maris. In 1965 she was owned by Seattle owners. |

This vessel assisted in the sinking of U-484 on 09/09/1944. this vessel was burned in the Mediterranean 28/01/1966 and broken up at La Spezia Italy. |
