Anecdotes
At her launching this vesselran aground stern-first when her propeller hit a harbour protection wall. This vessel was caught by a stiff breeze before the tugs could get her under control. This vessel was the first vessel to be launched without a traditional launching ceremony - and her accident was attributed to this by superstitious mariners. In 1958 this vessel was broken up at Baltimore MD USA.
