She was renamed as H.M.S. Cambrian Salvor in the service of Royal Navy. She was renamed as HMAS Cambrian Salvor in service of Royal Australian Navy. In 1958-1962 as a tug she was jointly owned by the Island Tug & Barge Ltd. of Victoria BC and the Smith Towing Co. In 1962 she was sold.

In 1959 this vesseltowed an ex-USN fleet aircraft carrier and a liberty ship, in tandem, from San Francisco-Japan. In 1982 this vessel was broken up in Pakistan.
