He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (ROUTP) (NR) 1975. In 1975-1977 he served in HMCS Malahat for ROUTP. In 1976 he served in the ROUTP for NROC (Esquimalt) for Training. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (NR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (NR). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (NR). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (NR). He was appointed as a Commander (NR) c1999. He served in HMCS Tecumseh as Commanding Officer 1996-2000. (He was released.)
