Military Service

He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He commanded Assault Craft at the Dieppe Raid. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 18/08/1943). He served in HMC LCI (L)-276 (In command) in 262nd Canadian LCI Flotilla for Operation Neptune. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (Temp.) RCNVR. (He was demobilized.) He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) (With seniority dated 18/08/1950). (He was released.)
