(Short Service Appointment). He was appointed as a Midshipman (O) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 16/07/1953). He served in HMCS Cornwallis for #6 Junior Air Officer Basic Training Course 1953. (He was released.) (He was qualified as an Observer for Naval Aviation)
