(He was qualified as a Master Mariner.) In 1983 he was the Master of the Polar Circle, a research & hydrographic survey vessel, in a west to east transit of the North West Passage. In 1969 he made a partial transit of the Northwest Passage in the CCGS Camsell eastward through James Ross Strait, Peel Sound, Barrow Strait and Prince Regent Inlet. |
