Military Service

He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR 1941. He served in Royal Roads 1941. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/05/1942) (Later backdated to 1941). He served in HMC LCI (L)-306 (In command) in 262nd Canadian LCI Flotilla for Operation Neptune 1944. (He was demobilized.) He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) Promoted from the retired list. (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)
