Biography
After his naval service he worked as a high school french language teacher. In 1951 he was an Associate Professor of French at Dalhousie University. He was appointed as President of the University of Kings College. He was a Professor of French at Royal Roads Military College. Afterwards he was appointed as the first Ombudsman of Nova Scotia.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 08/06/1943) (Later backdated to 1942). He served in HMCS Captor. (He was demobilized.) He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN(R). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) (With seniority dated 08/06/1950). In 1951-1952 he served as Commanding Officer University Naval Training Division Dalhousie University. In 1958 he served in HMCS Malahat as Commanding Officer UNTD (Victoria College). (He was released.)
