After his naval service he worked with the Federal Civil Service in personnel administration. Later he joined the UN in New York and the OECD in Paris before retirement in 1980. |

He served in the Canadian Militia, in the Rocky Mountain Rangers. (Transferred to RCAF). He was appointed as a AC 2/c RCAF 1943. He served in RCAF Edmonton for Pre-Flight Training 1943. He served in RCAF Calgary for Pre-Flight Training. He served in RCAF Lethbridge for Pre-Flight Training. He served in RCAF Saskatoon for ITS. He served in RCAF Regina for Elementary Flying Training School. He served in RCAF Vulcan for Service Flying Training School. He was appointed as a Sergeant Pilot RCAF (With seniority dated 01/08/1944). He served in RCAF Trois Rivieres for AGTS 1944. (He was demobilized 01/12/1944).
