Biography
After his naval service he worked in the Canadian Public Service (Statistics Canada, Canada Post Office, Transport Canada, Public Service Staff Relations Board and Revenue Canada)

He was appointed as a Naval Airman 2nd Class RNVR (With seniority dated 02/03/1942). He served in No. 32 Naval Pilots Course EFTS Cheshire (Tiger Moth) 1942. He served in #31 SFTS Kingston (Harvard) 1942. He served in RNAS Crail (Swordfish/Albacore) 1942. (CFR). He was appointed as a Midshipman (A) (Temp.) RNVR 1942. He served in H.M.S. Activity for Deck Landing Training 1943. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR. He served in H.M.S. Indomitable (Albacore). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR. He served in 817 Squadron (Norfolk VA USA) for re-equipment with Barracuda II. He served in H.M.S. Indomitable (Ceylon) for action in Sumatra. He served in H.M.S. Unicorn for 817 Squadron.
