After his naval service he was the Minister of Elk Lake Community Baptist Church in Victoria BC.

He was appointed as a Chaplain (Bapt) (RCN) (With seniority dated 11/04/1942). He was appointed as a Chaplain (Class II) (Bapt) (Temp.) RCN (With seniority dated 11/04/1942). He served in HMCS Cornwallis as Chaplain 1942. He served in HMCS Stadacona as Chaplain 1943. He served in HMCS Niobe for duty at Portsmouth UK as Chaplain. 1944. He was appointed as a Chaplain (Class II) (Bapt) (Temp.) RCN (With seniority dated 01/07/1945). He served in HMCS Stadacona as Chaplain 1945. He served in HMCS Warrior as Chaplain 1947. He served in HMCS Magnificent as Chaplain (P) 1948. He served in HMCS Stadacona as Chaplain. 1950. He served in HMCS Cornwallis as Chaplain 1952. He was appointed as a Chaplain (Class IV) RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1952). He served in HMCS Naden 1953. He served in HMCS Gloucester 1957. (He retired 15/07/1958.)
