Biography
He was a Rhodes Scholar after World War Two.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RCNVR. He was appointed to H.M.S. Raleigh (Officer Training Establishment) (Mess 38 Essex) in 1941. He served in H.M.S. King Alfred (Officer Training Establishment). (CFR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 31/12/1942). He served in HM MTB-260 (In command). He served in HM MTB 462 (In command) 1944. He served in HMC MTB-491 (In command) 1945. (He was demobilized). (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)
