He was appointed as a Chaplain Class II (P) RCN (With seniority dated 07/06/1952). He served in HMCS Shearwater as Additional as Chaplain 1955. He was appointed as a Chaplain Class III (P) RCN (With seniority dated 07/06/1960). On Staff (Personnel Training Conditions and Welfare) of Flag Officer Pacific Coast 1962. (He was released.)
