Biography

 

Military Service

He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RCNVR 1937. In 1937 he served in the Calgary Half-Company of the RCNVR. He served in H.M.S. Raleigh (Officer Training Establishment) 1940. He served in H.M.S. King Alfred (Officer Training Establishment). (CFR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 31/12/1942). He served in LCI (L)-298 (In command) 260th Landing Craft Infantry (Large) Flotilla for Operation Neptune. He served in HMCS Tecumseh, (Short Service appointment commencing 25/01/1951). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 31/12/1949)). He served in NHQ. (He was released.) (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)
