He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR 1944. In 1944 he served with the Royal Navy. (He was awarded Wings 01/12/1944). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 12/10/1943). He served in RNAS Ballyhalbert for 768 Squadron 1945. He served in HMS Corncrake. (He was killed in a flying accident in Northern Ireland when his plane crashed into a wall and caught fire during forced landing at Ballycram, 5 miles from Ballyhalbert airfield.) |
