Biography
After his naval service he was an active docent at Maritime Museum of British Columbia. He was a staff writer for the Lookout newspaper (Canadian Forces Pacific).

He was appointed as a Naval Cadet RCN (With seniority dated 20/08/1944). He served in the Royal Roads (RCNC) 1944 and served as a Cadet Captain. He was appointed as a Midshipman RCN (With seniority dated 03/07/1946). He served in H.M.S. Ocean 1946. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 03/11/1947). He served in the Royal Naval College Greenwich 1947. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant 1948 (With seniority dated 03/11/1947). He served in HMCS Athabaskan 1948. He served in H.M.S. Pompey for Sub-Lieutenants Courses 1948. He served in HMCS Stadacona for Courses 1949. He served in HMCS Cayuga 1949, (He had Korean War service). He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 03/02/1950). He served in HMCS Stadacona as Staff Officer (UNTD) at Dalhousie University 1951. He served in HMCS Cornwallis for Communications Qualifying Course 1953. He served in HMCS Stadacona as Flag Lietenant to Flag Officer Atlantic Coast 1954. He served in HMCS Algonquin as Communications Officer to Commander First Canadian Escort Squadron 1955. He served in the Maritime Warfare School Staff 1957. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 03/02/1958). He served in HMCS Chignecto (III) (In command) 1959. He served in HMCS Cornwallis for Communications School Staff 1961. He was appointed as a Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1965). He served in HMCS Niagara (For US Liaison Staff) 1963. He served in HMCS Chaudiere (II) (in command) 1966. He attended Language School for Russian Language Course 1967. He served as Canadian Naval Attache to USSR and Finland 1968. He served in NDHQ on Intelligence Staff 1970. He served in London UK as Senior Canadian Intelligence Liaison Officer 1973. He served in NDHQ for Canada-US Military Cooperation Committee 1987. (He was qualified for communications duties. He was qualified to command a frigate or destroyer.) (He retired on 30/11/1979.) (Transferred to CIL). He was the Commanding Officer of RCSCC HMCS Rainbow 1981-84.(He was released.)
