He was appointed as a Second Lieutenant (Transferred to RCNVR) He was appointed as an Ordinary Seama (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCNVR. (CFR) He was appointed as a Constructor Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/05/1944). In 1944 he served in NSHQ. He was appointed as a Constructor Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 05/02/1946). (He was demobilized.)
