Biography
He moved with his family to the Peace River area. In 1911 he attended McGill University. He was living in Vancouver BC at the time of his recruitment where he was working as a student surveyor. In 1924 he became a partner with Ernest Rogers in a HS-2L flying boat as Pacific Airways Ltd. In 1928 they merged with Western Canada Airways and he was appointed as Superintendent of West Coast Operations. He eventually retired from Trans-Canada Air Lines in 1958. He was the President of the Air Cadet League of Canada.
 
Military Service
In 1917 he took flying training with the Royal Flying Corps at Longbranch ON. He was appointed as a Second Lieutenant (RFC) (With seniority dated 19/08/1917). He served in #2 Air Stores Depot 21/11/1917. He served in #46 Squadron 26/11/1917. He was invalided to England 06/11/1918. He served in #81 Squadron 30/12/1918. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (With seniority dated 01/04/1918). He was appointed as a Captain 06/04/1918. He was appointed as a Major (RFC). He was appointed to #46 Squadron as Commanding Officer. (In 1919 he was demobilized to Vancouver BC.)
