Biography
He attended McGill University. He co-author a two volume book, “From St. Nazaire to Singapore,” a photo essay on Combined Operations.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/08/1941). He served in the Montreal Division of the RCNVR 1941. In 1941 he served in HMCS Kings (Officer Training Establishment). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/08/1941). In 1942 he took part in operations at Dieppe. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 18/08/1943 (Later backdated to 18/08/1942)). In 1942 he served in 81st Landing Craft Flotilla. In July 1943 he served in the landings in Sicilly. He served in HMC LCI (L) 311 (In command) in 264th Canadian LCI Flotilla for Operation Neptune 1944. In 1945 he served in HMCS Stadacona. In 1945 he served in HMCS Border Cities. In 1945 he served in HMCS Kapuskasing. (He was demobilized 13/10/1945.) (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)

Anecdotes
He was mentioned in Despatches "For gallantry, daring and skill, in the combined attack on Dieppe October 7, 1942" He was awarded the Royal Humane Society Certificate for Life-Saving during operations during D-Day Plus One June 7, 1944.
