Biography
He studied Law at Osgoode Hall 1938-1940 and graduated in 1945. He was appointed a magistrate in 1950. He served as a judge of the Ontario Provincial Court (Criminal, Juvenile and Family Divisions) until 1991.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Cadet and studied at Royal Military College of Canada 1934-1938. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCNVR (With seniority dated 15/06/1938). He served in HMCS Skeena (for sea training) 1938. He served in HMCS Saguenay (for sea training) 1938. (Mobilized for World War Two service). He served in HMS King Alfred (Officer Training Establishment) 1940. He served in HMS Patroclus (For sea training) 1940. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 15/04/1939). He served in HM MASB-49 (In command) 1941. He served in HM MGB-60 (In command) 1941. He served in HM MGB-50 (In command) 1942. He served in HM MGB-630 (In command) 1943. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (Temp.) RCNVR. He served in HMC MTB-748 (In command) 1944-1945 and the Senior Officer in the 65th Flotilla. (He was emobilized), (With seniority dated Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R). He served in HMCS Star as Commanding Officer to Kitchener Tender to Naval Reserve Division 1954-61. (He was released.)
