His home was in Fergus, Ontario (he was a student, University of Toronto) at the time of his recruitment. He attended the Curtiss Flying School in Toronto ON 1915. |
Military Service |

He served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force. (Transferred to RNAS) He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS (With seniority dated 14/12/1916) in Ottawa ON. He travelled to serve with the RNAS, UK, 14/01/1917. He served in RNAS Calshot 24/09/1917. He served in RNAS East Fortune 29/10/1917 (special flying with fleet). He served in HMS Campania 07/11/1918; to unemployed list, 23/02/1919. |
