He served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force. (Transferred to RNAS 1917) He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS 1917. He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant RNAS 1917. He was appointed as a Flight Lieutenant RNAS 1918.
